Dusty field of Lammual to field of Champions: Jeje wishes his state on the success

JEJE LALPEKHLUA took to Facebook to express his joy for his state club Aizawl FC's recent success and also shared his sorrow of not being able to lift the trophy for his club Mohun Bagan.

It was mixed feelings for the forward who is from Mizoram but couldn't openly celebrate Aizawl's victory as his club Bagan failed to lift the trophy by just one point. Aizawl needed a draw and they got it, though Bagan won the match against Chennai City, one point and one goal made all the difference.

He states both sides of his feelings on the Facebook post and concluding it by stating that the younger Jeje is very happy and proud of this achievement by Aizawl.

A tough and hard night it was but a memorable one,it was an honour indeed and a great privilege to be able to play for...

The last sentence of the post means:

"That's my land, yes my people that became champions."
