Jasprit Bumrah is on track to play for India in Ireland, bowling 10 overs a day at NCA

JASPRIT BUMRAH'S RECOVERY is going well, and he is finally bowling in the nets again.

Bumrah, who has been out for a while, has undergone a prolonged road back to full health. This March, he had a back surgery and for a long time he was unable to even walk, let alone play cricket.

The BCCI has taken a patient approach to Bumrah's recovery. Instead of putting him back into a competitve match right after he regained full mobility of his body, he was sent to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) to continue his recovery under the watchful eyes of VVS Laxman.

According to reports, he started bowling again last month in the nets. At this point, he is bowling almost 10 overs every day.

This has put him well within the targeted recovery timeline and he now has a good chance of playing for India again in the upcooming Ireland series; which is perhaps the best possible way to ease him back into international cricket.

Bumrah has missed international cricket since September 2022 and missed out on the entire IPL 2023 season; his first major absence since he joined Mumbai Indians a decade ago.
