Hardik Pandya

Krunal's brother Hardik Pandya, another valuable all-rounder on the Mumbai Indians roster, is remembered more for his exploits with the bat (and why not) but often, with the ball, he has been deadly effective in IPL.

Although with the ball he aggressively goes for wickets which sometimes causes him to leak runs, there are times when he shines far beyond others.

Take for example the match between Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders back in May 2018. Mumbai Indians scored 181 batting first, and KKR were looking good on the chase; having a run rate of well over 9 after 12 overs and 8 wickets in hand.

But Hardik Pandya was trying hard to put a break on their progress and once Markande took Uthappa out of the equation, Hardik switched to destroyer mode.

He had already taken out Shuvam Gill earler in the innings, and he struck again to remove the dangerous and well-set Nithish Rana. KKR never managed to get back on track from that point.

Hardik conceded just 19 runs in his 4 overs, with those 2 wickets. It included 13 dot balls. An innings-crushing spell.

And oh, earlier that evening he had scored a nice little 35 not out in 20 balls with the bat, helping boost Mumbai's total towards the end.

Mumbai Indians won by 13 runs, and that difference can be easily chalked up to Hardik's effort with the bat and ball. That's as good an all-round performance as you can hope for. Needless to say, whoever had Hardik as the captain of their fantasy team that night left others miles behind.
