Krunal Pandya

Being an all-rounder, Krunal is always a value pick. But his destructive bursts with the ball have often proved to be effective; especially in T20.

Take for example Mumbai Indians' match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on 2nd May 2020. Defending a total of 162, Mumbai restricted Hyderabad on a tie (after a heart-stopping last over bowled by Krunal's brother Hardik Pandya).

Hyderabad had a very good start to their innings, with a run rate of over 10 in the intitial stage. After Bumrah did some damage, Krunal stepped in with an ice cold spell that halted the Sunrisers train.

With Manish Pandey holding on at one end, Krunal was not only conservative with the runs he gave away, but also took the wickets of captain Kane Williamson and Vijay Shankar before they became a threat.

His spell of 4-0-22-2 was a major blow to the opponents and got Mumbai Indians to that thrilling super over that ensured their victory.
