MUMBAI INDIANS all-rounder Krunal Pandya is all to tie the knot next month. Sources reported that the 26-year-old will marry Pankhuri Sharma on December 27 at a five-star hotel in Mumbai.
As reported by TOI, Krunal said that the ceremony will be attended by family members and close relatives.
“We will marry in a ceremony attended by family members and close relatives. On the same evening, a reception will be organized. I am very happy that I am marrying a girl who is more like a friend and understands me.”
Krunal revealed that the duo have been seeing each other for last one-and-half years.
“She is a friend of my friend. We met at a common gathering two years ago and developed a liking for each other. We both are of same age and get along a lot. What I like about her is her simplicity and supportive nature.”
Krunal revealed that he proposed Pankhuri after winning IPL-10 with Mumbai Indians.
“Well, I proposed her for marriage after our team Mumbai Indians became champions in the IPL this year. I was awarded man of the match in the finals and I thought it was the right time. Pankhuri immediately said yes. My family too is very happy. I believe that if you find the right partner then the relationship is the best part of your life. I found the right girl."
The all-rounder maintained that cricket will always remain his top priority.
“She understands that cricket is my life and supports me. She doesn’t watch matches much except those that I play in.”
It is understood that Krunal is currently working on his fitness after he opted out of Ranji Trophy matches this season due to injuries.
