Shoulder injury rules Mitchell Marsh out of IPL-10

RISING PUNE SUPERGIANTS have suffered a blow as Aussie all-rounder Mitchell Marsh is ruled out of the upcoming IPL season due to a shoulder injury.

Marsh, who has flown back home midway through the four-match Test series between India and Australia, is likely to be sidelined for nine months. Earlier, the 25-year-old had left IPL 2016 and 2009 due to a side strain.

It is learnt that he will seek the help of specialists in the coming week. Sources have reported that he faces the prospect of a shoulder reconstruction that would keep him out of the game for the remainder of 2017. Reuters had reported that the injury has ended the all-rounder’s hopes of participating in this year’s Ashes series.
