INDIA GREAT Virender Sehwag has stated that the team needs MS Dhoni and that the wicket-keeper batsman will step down at the right time without blocking the way of any young cricketer.
Following India’s defeat at the hands of New Zealand in the second ODI, VVS Laxman had criticized the Ranchi-lad for making room for youngsters in the shortest format of the game. By defending Dhoni, Sehwag has perfectly countered Laxman’s opinions. As reported by India TV, the ‘Nawab of Nazafgarh’ said,
"Team India needs MS Dhoni at the moment, even in T20 cricket. He will step down at the right time. He will never block the way for any young cricketer."
Earlier, the former India opener had backed Dhoni and stated the men in blue are yet to find a suitable replacement.
