THE START OF THE GAME WAS A DRY one as neither sides could keep possession well. Lajong, the first to get their rhythm, started to take the game to Churchill put in some dangerous balls from the wings. The final tap in or header in was missing from the home side.
At the break it was goalless. Lajong continued pressing and knocking on the door. Finally the goal arrived after a mistake from Priyant who spilled an easy catch and gave Dipanda a chance to shoot in an open net with two defenders to beat. He took the chance well and scored. After that Churchill had one chance falling to either of their strikers, both strikes were brialliantly stopped by Vishal Kaith, who went on to win the Hero of the Match.
Lajong could have sealed the game with a few chances towards the end but were wasteful fo their chances.
