ONE: Defending Honor Results – Eduard Folayang upsets Shinya Aoki to win Lightweight Championship
THE LATEST outing of ONE Fighting Championship saw Eduard Folayang dethrone veteran Shinya Aoki to become the new Lightweight champion of the promotion.
Eduard won the fight via strikes in the third round and not only did he win the title, but also gave Aoki his first defeat since 2012 where he had lost to Eddie Alvarez in Bellator.
Meanwhile, Marat Gafurov retained the ONE championship featherweight championship by defeating Narantungalag Jadambaa with a first-round rear-naked choke in the co-main event.
