NEW ENTRANTS INTO the Champions Tennis League (CTL), Nagpur Orangers have constructed a balanced team with a nice blend of experience and current form.
The Orangers have roped in seasoned campaigners in Feliciano Lopez and Jelena Jankovic into their line-up. The Nagpur have also added former clay court specialist, Alex Corretja into the ranks for the legends category. And, for the men’s doubles, a masterly move by the Nagpur management to draft in India’s, Divij Sharan could pay rich dividends.
Team Nagpur might not have the marquee names in their line-up, but the experience of Jankovic and Lopez of playing in the previous edition of CTL bodes well for their campaign. Indian juniors Nitin Kumar Sinha and Harsha Sai Challa too will represent the Orangers. Meanwhile, the Spaniard, Corretja might be given the responsibility of leading the team.
