INDIAN WOMEN'S DOUBLES STAR SHUTTLERS Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa are the new entrants into the Olympic Gold Quest family (OGQ is a program of the Foundation for Promotion of Sports and Games, and founded by Indian sporting legends Geet Sethi and Prakash Padukone).
Jwala and Ashwini are the 100th and 101st athletes to join this not-for-profit company, of which chess master Vishwanathan Anand, tennis ace Leander Paes are directors, and former hockey player Viren Rasquinha is the CEO.
Gutta and Ponnappa were in the news earlier this year for not being included in the TOPS scheme for the 2016 Olympics, and then later, after a huge row were included in it.

The shuttlers now seem satisfied as this association should boost their playing and training sessions. They now join fellow shuttlers Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu, P Kashyap and other athletes like boxer Mary Kom, shooter Gagan Narang, among others.
