EAST BENGAL SHOWED signs of regaining their form as they defeated Railway FC 2-0 in Calcutta Football League Premier Division Group B.

The Red and Golds' positon at the top of the group points table came under threat when Bhawanipore FC held them to a draw. Bur today, they ensured they left the field with full points.

Aman CK got them the lead just 20 minutes in. In the second half, right after the hour mark, Nishu Kumar doubled the lead for them.

With 18 points from 8 games, the East Bengal development team is now close to securing a place in the CFL Super Six round. Playing without their big names, who are getting ready for a Kolkata Derby in Durand Cup, the young reserves are still unbeaten and running a praiseworthy campaign despite the odd setback.
