AUSTRALIAN ALL-ROUNDER Shane Watson has become the latest entrant in the exciting list of cricketers to join the star-studded Pakistan Super League (PSL) scheduled for February 2016 in Dubai and Sharjah.

Watson is the 152nd player to have given his consent for the T20 tournament, and is touted to be as a ‘hot pick’ by Chairman Najam Sethi. Sethi took to Twitter to make the official announcement.

Watson, who is a prolific run-getter in T20s has scored over 4,000 runs in 150-plus matches. He is also part of Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League and has been quite successful over the years. The Aussie will be looking forward to playing alongside a host of other international superstars in UAE next year.

“I am very excited to be involved in the inaugural PSL. There are a lot of world class players involved so I can’t wait to be a part of it,” Watson, a two-time World Cup winner, said in a statement as reported by Dawn.

“We are delighted to have Shane Watson on board and with Shane’s record in T20 cricket, he will definitely be a hot pick in the PSL draft,” confirmed Sethi.

Watto joins an illustrious list of cricketers such as Chris Gayle, Kevin Pietersen, Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo, Lasith Malinga, Sunil Narine, and many more. PSL will also feature members of the associate nations such as Shapoor Zadran (Afghanistan), George Dockrell (Ireland), etc.
