A TEAM IN TRANSISITION, India, displayed a few flaws in the 1-2 loss against Oman in the 2022 FIFA World Cup and 2023 AFC Asian Cup joint-qualifiers on September 5th 2019.

Flaws, which were seen before; flaws that could be concerning, if not ironed out. But just dwelling on the flaws will elude some of the building blocks that have been unearthed to help India achieve higher targets. Each of the points carries weight for the team that is still, a work-in-progress. It is clear that India are bringing to the field, an exiting way of playing and has a strong belief in the system. Although results may not come at speed at which expectations are building up. A new system does take a while to sink in and show its effect in every aspect.
