AHEAD OF THEIR MATCH AGAINST Delhi Dynamos, Mumbai City assistant coach Oscar Bruzon on Tuesday termed the current situation as alarming after suffering two losses and managing a draw in their previous three encounters of the Indian Super League (ISL) second season.
PLACED IN THE BOTTOM HALF of the table without a win in the Indian Super League (ISL) second season, home side Mumbai City FC will aim to put aside the early stumble and aim for their first triumph against a confident Delhi Dynamos FC at the D.Y. Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Wednesday.
IF ROUND 3 of the Indian Super League was the round of fireworks as teams like Chennaiyin and Goa sought to re-establish themselves with lots of goals, sending the customary firework system off every time, the 4th round was the round of grit, where we got to see all four winners putting up strong defensive displays, keeping clean sheets, and clinching victories by one or two goal margins.
A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO Mumbai City abruptly announced that they were parting ways with their star attacking midfielder Andre Moritz. There were rumours abound that the 29 year old Brazilian had fallen out with the team's player-manager Nicolas Anelka. What does this mean for Mumbai City to lose a player like that in the middle of the campaign? Could Anelka have handled this better?
ROUND THREE OF THE ISL saw a lot of teams finally figure themselves out, and the beginnings of what may well turn out to be the steady trends that will prevail throughout the tournament and shape its course. If the morning shows the day, well the ISL is just about past the dawn phase. And we at TFG bring you, once again, a few of those who shined, and a few who fizzed right out. It's Tops & Flops time folks!
FOLLOWING THEIR SECOND LOSS of the Indian Super League (ISL) season 2, Mumbai City FC assistant coach Oscar Bruzon said the team is taking the matches and lot of things lightly, also adding that it is high time the side starts winning to reduce pressure.
MUMBAI CITY'S FIRST home game turned out to be a a nightmare for them as defensive errors saw them break composure towards the middle of the second half and concede two back to back goals. Chennaiyin FC were happy to defend their 2-0 lead for the rest of the game and earn a relatively easy away win; their second on the trot.
SUBRATA PAUL STOOD TALL on his comeback game as Mumbai City managed to hold Chennaiyin FC off to keep it 0-0 at the end of the first half.
AFTER A QUIET start to the second season of the Indian Super League (ISL), Mumbai City FC will aim to register their first win of the campaign when they take on a confident Chennaiyin FC in their first home match at the D.Y. Patil Stadium on Friday.
