AFTER THE ISL Appeals Panel returned its 15 deducted points from the upcoming campaign and reduced the Rs 11 crore fine to Rs 6 crore, the AIFF Appeals Committee has also decided to reduce the fine imposed on the franchise by the AIFF Disciplinary Committee.
SRINIVAS DEMPO and Dattaraj Salgaocar, the two FC Goa co-owners who had their suspension from ISL revoled by the Appeals Panel, have said that they are selling their stakes in the franchise nonetheless.
FRESH RUMOURS doing the rounds in the Indian football circuit suggest that FC Goa co-owners Srinivas Dempo and Dattaraj Salgaocar have sold their stakes in the ISL franchise for Rs 75 crore.
THE CONTROVERSY SURROUNDING FC Goa received a fresh and major twist when a report emerged that two of its co-owners, Srinivas Dempo and Dattaraj Salgaocar, may give up their stakes in the ISL franchise to safeguard its 2016 campaign.
THE ISL REGULATORY COMMITTEE seems to be all set to reduce the punishment of FC Goa for orchestrating the controversy around Chennaiyin FC's Elano Blumer on the night of the ISL final last year; at least to some extent.
SALGAOCAR AND Sporting Clube de Goa have withdrawn from the I-League, and this has brought the Indian domestic season to the brink of failure and once again highlighted the huge flaws in the 'merger plan' propagated by AIFF and IMG-Reliance.
THE DOMESTIC SEASON IS not fully over but most I-League clubs have already gone out of action after losing out in the battle for the Federation Cup. And almost immediately the Indian Super League franchises have sprung into action, signing up players left and right from these clubs for the third edition of ISL starting October.
The five member Regulatory Commission of ISL met here in Mumbai over the three days, in continuation of their earlier sittings since February 2016, to hear the submissions of the respective parties in the matter of Football Sports Development Limited vs FC Goa; FC Goa vs Chennaiyin FC; FC Goa vs Elano Blumer and Chennaiyin FC vs FC Goa.
A NEWLY RELEASED video clip has turned the controversy around the ISL 2015 final - which saw former Brazil and Chennaiyin FC player Elano dragged to the police station over his alleged attack on FC Goa co-owner Dattaraj Salgaocar - on its head.
