Heartfelt: Sunil Chhetri thanks Bengaluru FC fans for their continued support through tough times

AFTER HIS TEAM Bengaluru FC secured an amazing comeback victory against I-League rivals Mohun Bagan in their AFC Cup match-up last night, captain Sunil Chhetri thanked the BFC fans for their support through a difficult period for the club.

Speaking after the match, he said,

"We have the best fans... we were 1-0 down and they were chanting and supporting us harder than the start of the game, it's unbelievable... I have played for many clubs I have never seen fans like this. They're special."

Addressing the Bengaluru fans, especially the West Block Blues, he said,

"I just want to say, thank you so much man. With your support we can keep trying and we can push ourselves... we did not do that well in I-League so far but we have never lacked in motivation."

Sunil Chhetri will now join the Indian national team camp being held in Mumbai ahead of their international friendly against Cambodia and an Asian Cup qualifier match against Myanmar later this month.
