Play-by-Play: Dominating a half each, Churchill and Shillong play out a goalless draw
CHURCHILL CAME WITH CONFIDENCE as their were on athree match winning run. Shillong alos had won their last game. It was a story of one half belonging to each of the teams. The first was all Churchill Brothers' the second half belonged to Shillong Lajong.
The home side had speed and counter attacks as their main weapons that helped them dominate the first half. Lajong were poor in the game as they could not get their short passing game together. Wolfe hit the upright and Kaith made some brilliant stops just like in their last meeting. Brandon, Lyngdoh, Kromah and Wolfe were the trouble makers.
The second half had Lajong switching on the usual short passing combined with long balls in between. The away side imposed themselves thoroughly in the game and Churchill had little chance to gain possession. Dipanda was wasteful in front of goal as he misses two clear chances to give his side the lead.
In the second half Churchill made a beauty of a run but failed to convert that into a goal. The ended all square as both teams had to settle for a point a piece.
