AFTER ENTHRALLING sports fans with the bat, Indian cricketer Suresh Raina is now set to woo the music aficionados as he lends his voice to a song in the upcoming film ‘Meeruthiya Gangsters’.
The song ‘Tu Mili Sab Mila’ was released on Monday in Mumbai and Raina said he really enjoyed the experience of singing the romantic number.
“Cricket will always remain my passion and while playing, music has always given me company in between. While listening to music, singing became a hobby and I have been interested in doing something in singing when I am free,” Raina said.
“My wife Priyanka is from Meerut and the producer of this movie Shoeb Ahmed is a family friend of mine, a few days back he discussed his upcoming movie Meeruthiya Gangsters and insisted that I sing a song for it. Priyanka further convinced me to utilise this opportunity for trying my hand in singing. On Sunday we recorded this melodious track and I really enjoyed it. I hope listeners and fans will appreciate my effort as they have all this while supported me whenever I am playing the game for my country,” he added.
“I would like to congratulate all who all worked so hard for the film. I’m also from Uttar Pradesh and my wife is from Meerut. So when we were discussing the trailer of the film, we said how unique the film was,” Raina said at the music launch.
“I appreciate all these artistes in the film as all are from small towns and are entertaining the audiences and making them laugh with their brilliant comic skills,” he said.
Raina sang a couple of lines from his romantic track “Tu Mili Sab Mila”, composed by Siddhant Madhav.
“I would like to give all credit to Siddhant who worked tirelessly on the song. I didn’t have to do a lot and didn’t have to sing like a professional singer since Siddhant managed everything really well by helping me out,” he said.
