Mitchell Johnson

Mitchell Johnson: (Rs 2 crore)

The Aussie veteran, who played key in Mumbai Indians’ 2013 win, has returned to their camp following a three-year stint with Kings XI Punjab. Surprisingly, in 2016 season, the 35-year-old paceman featured in only three games for KXIP. After not seeing enough starts into the season, Johnson came in the news for getting fired up and hitting then-teammate Glen Maxwell during a net session. Johnson joined Perth Scorchers in BBL after taking retirement from international cricket in 2015. He picked 13-wickets in nine games and played an instrumental role in their league win.

What to expect: He is back to where he tasted success in the IPL. His recent run in the Big Bash even made rumours of him coming back to international cricket. But be that as it may, Mumbai will be delighted to have the 'X' Factor of this Aussie pacer. He will fight for the spot with Malinga and Southee, and if fit, he is likely to get the nod. His pace and early swing will certainly rattle the batsmen and the wicket at the Wankhede will surely help his aggressive bowling.
