Unconfirmed: sacking of players sparks mutiny against coach at Mumbai FC

REPORTS OF A mutiny inside the Mumbai FC dressing room is sure to increase the frustration of their fans, on top of a disappointing run in the I-League.

While unconfirmed, rumours have emerged today that head coach Santosh Kashyap has begun cracking the whip in order to bring his house in order, letting go of Pratik Choudhary, Allan Dias and captain Steven Dias from the squad.

This has apparently irked a section of the players who now want the club management to intervene and remove the coach himself.

If true, this spells more trouble for a club already undergoing a string of underwhelming results in the league this season. But an official statement is still awaited from the club regarding the veracity of these rumours.
