Sony Norde suffers meniscal tear in left knee; may take days to recover

AFTER THE GOALLESS DRAW AGAINST MUMBAI FC yesterday, Mohun Bagan received a blow about any injury news to their star player Norde. The winger did not have the best of games yesterday and the MRI reports does show meniscal tear in his left knee.

Noted orthopedic surgeon Dr Kalyan Mukherjee said about this kind of injury, 

“This kind of injury takes few days time to recover. The more a player takes rest the better is the chance for him to recover soon.”

On the news breaking about the injury to Norde, Mohun Bagan coach Sonjoy Sen said,

“I kept him in the team only after being told that he is fit to take the field. I am not concerned about his injury as I have 29 players in the side."

We await to see how long the recovery will take and the period for which Norde will be out of action.
