Colm Toal, Technical Director of Minerva Punjab FC quits over differences with owner

BARELY WEEKS AFTER HE HAD JOINED CLUB SESSIONS the technical director of Minerva Punjab FC has quit the club for good. As reported by Goal, MPFC owner Ranjit Bajaj allegedly had an altercation with Toal which led to Toal choosing to quit with immediate effect. This was after Minerva Punjab's first ever I-League win over Mumbai FC.

Colm Toal was earlier was Technical Director for the AIFF. He had first joined AIFF in 2007 and has worked with various age-group teams in his seven-year tenure. He guided two batches of India U-16 to the final phase of the AFC Qualifiers. Also was in-charge of the India U-19 national teams and Goa's AIFF Elite Academy. 

Minerva Punjab shared the news of his appointment late December as the club got confirmation of their inclusion in the I-League. Due to delayed visa and other formalities, Toal could only join in the teams' practice session in the last week of January. Within weeks of joining the team, and after the recent good results of the team, the news of his departure has leaked. Although the is no offical statement, but it is learned that Colm Toal has resigned with immediate effect.

Minerva Punjab FC play their next I-League game on February 15 at home against DSK Shivajians.
