Marcelinho threatens legal action against Delhi Dynamos about dues of USD 25000

GOLDEN BOOT WINNER in the third season of the Indian Super League, Marcelo Perreira, also known as Marcelinho. The 29 year old Brazilian scored 10 goals and provided 5 assists in 15 games, had 26 shots on target, which were the most by any attacker that season.

The Brazilian, is upset with Dynamos as he is still supposed to be paid USD 25000, as per the contractual terms and the team is not performing their part of the contract.   
As per the contract between him and Dynamos, he is supposed to be awarded USD 1000 for each goal scored besides, USD 15000 for winning the Golden Boot.

Marcelinho told PTI from Rio de Janeiro

“I have been waiting for the payment to be cleared since December. Please make the payment, Dynamos. My lawyer is looking into various options,”

If Dynamos fail to comply with the terms, the prolific striker, who last month signed for Brazilian club Avai FC, is also open to taking up the issue with world football governing body FIFA.
