Indians win MS, WS and mixed doubles title at the homeland tournament, India GPG
IT WAS complete dominance by the Indian shuttlers at the Syed Modi International Championship also known as the India Grand Prix Gold.
Three titles and one runners-up award went to Indians. Sameer Verma defeated compatriot Sai Praneeth 21-19, 21-16 to lift the men's singles title while PV Sindhu clinched her first title of the year by defeating Gregoria Mariska 21-13, 21-14.

It was an all Indian showdown in the mixed doubles too as soon to be life partners were up against each other. Sikki Reddy/Pranaav Jerry Chopra begin the new year on a high as they defeated Ashwini Ponnappa/Sumeeth Reddy 22-20, 21-10.

On the other hand, Ashwini/Sikki ended as runners-up in the women's doubles after losing to top seeds Kamilla Rytter/Christinna Pedersen 16-21, 18-21.
