Mark Hunt reveals why he accepted the Alistair Overeem fight

MARK HUNT WILL BE GOING UP AGAINST Alistair Overeem at UFC 209 on March 4 and he said that he accepted the offer because had had no other choice.

Hunt talks about his upcoming fight

Hunt’s last fight came against Brock Lesnar and Hunt was not happy with the way how UFC and USADA handled Lesnar’s doping situation. But he said that he couldn’t let his family starve.

"Think it from my position, I had no other option. I can't work anywhere else so what am I supposed to do — let my family starve?” he said.

Hunt also commented on the fine that Lesnar got and expressed his displeasure.

“I didn't even think the [Nevada commission] penalty was harsh enough. He got a $250,000 fine but he made about $2 million bucks so how did it actually affect him? They (dopers) should be struck from the records and taken everything off them. They don't deserve to get a cent. This sport is already harsh enough as it is. When you add in steroid use it makes it even worse.” He added.
