Hume says playing KBFC in final doesn't make him emotional, just wants to win ISL for ATK

AHEAD OF PLAYING his second ISL final, Atletico de Kolkata striker Iain Hume said that the prospect of facing his old team Kerala Blasters in this crucial match does not phase him or make him emotional.

Hume was in the KBFC squad that played ATK in the 2014 final and lost 2014. Next year, the Canadian international switched sides to ATK and he's been there ever since. Speaking to the press before leaving for Kochi, his old home ground during KBFC days, to play the final, he said,

"I played in that team for a season. I know a lot of people in that franchise. But still I'll say there won't be any emotion at play in the final. I just want to win the trophy for my yeam ATK."

Iain Hume, the leading goalscorer in the history of ISL, has 28 goals in the tournament to his name. This year, he has scored 7 goals so far, 3 behind Marcelinho of Delhi Dynamos. Asked whether he would go for the golden boot title in the final, he brushed it off, saying,

"If the team wins even without me scoring, I'll be happy."
