Play by Play: Penalties settles the 2nd semis; Kerala are through to the final

A VICTORY WOULD earn them a chance to play the final at the home stadium was the motivation the players had right from the first leg. Delhi had a player down in the first half when Milan Singh was sent off.

Kerala failed to take the advantage of the extra man and Delhi showed determination to fight tooth and nail to get to the finals. But some good saves from Nandy kept Delhi from scoring. The game went on and Delhi continued to press while Kerala spent most time shoot from distances.

Penalties were imminent as the extra time saw so goals. Marcelinho was subbed and Pelisari was brought on in his place.

Delhi was very poor in the spot kicks as they missed both the kicks with fatigue and lost hopes. Kerala were spot on and netted all three to reach the finals.
