Srikanth set to miss the rest of the season, eyes a PBL comeback in January

MEN'S SINGLES SHUTTLER Kidambi Srikanth had picked up an ankle injury while playing at the Japan Open Superseries in September. Following that he underwent a surgery and gave himself time to rest.

He had then announced to his fans that he would be missing the European circuit. Yesterday he took to social media to make another declaration that he will now miss the rest of the season.

He missed out on top level tournaments such as Denmark Superseries Premier, French SS, China SSP, Hong Kong SS etc.

His decision to miss out on the season should be considered as a positive one as he would get more time and return to court in full fitness instead of aggravating the same.

2017 will kick-start with the Premier Badminton League (PBL) and Srikanth would play a major role, therefore he needs to get back stronger.
