ATTACKING FOOTBALL DISPLAYED by both teams from the start. ATK the brighter. Postiga hit the post from a cross very early on. ATK were allowed to get free headers on many occasions in the first half. The goal came through for ATK in similar fashion. Postiga rose and guided the cross towards the goal.

The second half saw many shots taken by Chennayin from distances and all of them were blocked by ATK players who positioned themselves well in front of the shot takers. The away side looked comfortable defending till Chennaiyin increase their attack which saw the central defenders being allowed to move forrward with the ball and take shots. This is when the ATK defence started to get a bit af scrappy. And they pressure by the home team paid off when a cross from the right flank saw an unmarked Succi heading it with precision to get past Debjit. 

A single point shared by both parties, same result as the last meeting between the two sides.
