ISL Half-Time Review: the Good, the Bad, the Ugly and What's Coming

THE THIRD EDITION of the Indian Super League has reached something close to a halfway point, and already the season's narrative is beginning to take shape. Certain teams are emerging as the undisputed frontrunners, while others are falling behind in the race to top four.

The matches also seem to be following a trend; with low-scoring "closely fought" games taking place day in and day out. Many of the teams, although halfway into the tournament, seem to be struggling trying to find a well-balanced core team that they can trust on the final weeks of the grind.

In view of all that, we're taking a close look at some of the major themes that we have seen play out over the last month, the impact that they have had on the teams, and the way they will affect things as the ISL 2016 reaches its business end.
