Molina's red card has him suspended for the next game against NorthEast United FC

MATCHDAY 23 BETWEEN Atlético de Kolkata and Mumbai City FC saw Mumbai emerge victorious with a lone goal from Diego Forlan.

The match although played cleanly had a moment where Molina was seen arguing with the match referee late in the second half. In a statement released by the Indian Super League, Molina received a red card for excessive arguing with the referee.

"Coach Molina was sent off from the field of play and immediate surrounds by the match referee during 90+1 minute of the game during Hero ISL match 23 (25 October, 2016, Atletico de Kolkata vs Mumbai City FC) for repeatedly protesting against referee's decisions" said the statement.

This red card meant Molina would not be available in the ATK dug-out in the next game against NorthEast on the 28th of October. The statement confirmed the same,

"Additionally, AIFF disciplinary code (Article 19) states that an expulsion automatically incurs suspension from the team's subsequent match"

Atlético de Kolkata lost their first game of the season in the last game played against Mumbai and are now with 9 points in 6 games played.
