ISL   /   FC Goa   /   Mumbai City   /

Preview: Mumbai have scored in almost every game and will continue to add more against a battered Goa side

WITH ONE TEAM SCORING consistently and the other, hardly, can we expect a one sided affair in the Mumbai City FC game against FC Goa? Probably yes. FC Goa are rock bottom in ISL at the moment. Zico blasted at the refereeing standards after the last game draw against ATK. He clearly was not happy with the decisions given by the referee claiming to say that all foreign referees were biased against his team. Zico has always been know to be outspoken. Now those claims from the Coach whose side that has not been able to win a single game can point to frustration or it could say it's for the good of the game. Mumbai Coach Guimaraes has been content with his team's performance so far and has taken a diplomatic approach in press conferences and stayed away from voicing staunch opinions about dubious moments in the games.

Talking about Mumbai City, their on field display shows no signs of struggle in their campaign. Their worry at hand comes in the form of marquee Forlan. His presence has made a difference where he had an assist and scored one himself. There is a good chance that he will feature in the FC Goa game. Sony Norde has got the side a remarkable edge after he was back from national duty. He has played the last two games and even scored in the last game, showing the glimpse of his talent.

Forward Force

FC Goa have lacked the spark they had in the previous seasons. The spark that had teams fearing the strength of attack. Robin Singh the star striker was back in the last game. He was expected to bring in the points packed along with goals but his performance was nowhere close to delivering the victory Goa in need of. One consistency about Goa this season is that they have conceded goals far too easily. Goa must be pretty relieved with the news of Gregory Arnolin returning. This will strengthen the back line. He already played a good commanding game in the last match.

Strengths at the back and up front

Weighing the strengths and weakness of both teams, we expect Mumbai to come out strongest and continue their scoring streak and Goa will have hopes pinned on Arnolin to stop them from doing so.
