TFG PREDICTIONS for ISL 3: Top Draws, Dark Horses, Underdogs & a Wild Card in a tight race

THE THIRD EDITION of the Indian Super League has officially kicked off. As with the previous two years, this competition is extremely tight; the eight franchises with comparable budgets pick up a fraction of the pool of top division players and add foreigners of similar quality resulting in teams that closely resemble each other.

Over the last two years, the tournament has seen some pretty tough fight for the top four spots, with the fans having to wait till the last days of the regular season to know all the teams that would be in the semi-finals. There's little doubt the same thing will happen this year as well, and it's hard to tell for sure which teams will gain the upper hand down the line. Although just 3 years old, ISL has flung a number of surprises on the fans already.

This year, it takes a lot of head-scratching to try and figure out which teams will reach the semi-finals. But looking at the state that the teams are in at the moment and the circumstances surrounding them, we at TFG can take a gander at predicting which teams are most likely to end up in the mega playoffs.

Last year, our predictions turned out almost entirely correct. This time, however, the choice is more difficult and complicated. To find out exactly why, read on as we tell you which teams will go how far in ISL 2016.
