Lallianzuala Chhangte

Lallianzuala is the other Liverpool-DSK youth product who will serve a loan spell at NEUFC during this ISL. But this 19 year old striker has already become a star in his own rights, and might actually sell a few extra seats for the franchise.

That is because of the unusual path this Mizo youngster's career has taken recently. National team coach Stephen Constantine spotted Zuala at the academy, and included him in the senior India squad for the SAFF Championship. And on top of that, in the match against Nepal, he scored 2 goals and became an overnight sensation.

Neither Constantine nor his club coaches want to push him into the spotlight and want him to continue his development diligently. He was a part of the Shivajians first team during I-League 2015-16 season but did not make an appearance. Instead, he spent a good amount of time training at Liverpool FC with fellow Shivajians striker Jerry Mawihmingthanga.

Now, with his academy and club teammate, he is serving a loan spell at NEUFC with a curious track record of having played no club senior games but having more international caps in his pocket that many of his senior teammates. Hopefully the franchise will find a way to put his talents to good use during the matches and help out in his development process in their own way.
