Preity denies that she accused her players of throwing matches in IPL

KINGS XI PUNJAB co-owner Preity Zinta lashed out at media reports that suggested she had suspected KXIP players of foul play during the Indian Premier League (IPL).

On Wednesday morning, The Indian Express reported that some players of the IPL franchise Kings XI Punjab might have been linked to suspicious activity, according to the actress. Zinta reportedly told BCCI's IPL Working Committee that some of her team's players threw away matches during the IPL. According to the report, the actress had seen such activities from close quarters, but could not gather enough proof to bring it to the BCCI's notice. She also confronted a few players, dropped them from games and kept them out, reports suggest.

The meeting was attended by all four members of the working group - IPL chairman Rajeev Shukla, BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur, BCCI treasurer Anirudh Chaudhary and former India captain Sourav Ganguly.

However, the actress vehemently denied any such claims and slammed the reports, calling them 'false' and 'inaccurate'. She quickly took to the social networking site, Twitter to clarify and expressed her shock. Zinta questioned the source of the news and said she was proud of her team and the players.

"We have the best team & support staff & under No circumstance will I tolerate slander towards me or my team, specially when it comes to our Integrity. I will sincerely appreciate it, if responsible media do not try to damage our reputation & business by fueling this false article," she wrote on Facebook.
