Jeje Lalpekhlua's neighbour Ruata passes trials, makes it into Mohun Bagan squad

A DREAM CAME TRUE for young Lalrem Ruata when he successfully went through the trials at Mohun Bagan to be picked for the club's first team for the upcoming Calcutta Football League season.

A neighbour of Mohun Bagan and national team striker Jeje Lalpekhlua, C. Lalremruata was a part of the Mohun Bagan-SAIL residential academy in Durgapur and upon his graduation was called to the club for a trial. He came out with flying colours, earning himself a contract with the Federation Cup winners.

If things go well, he may be seen playing many matches in the Green and Maroon shirt in the 118th season of the Calcutta Football League (Premier Division A). Jeje won't be a part of this campaign since he is going to be away playing in ISL but come January there's a chance that the Mariners' squad for the I-League season will feature the two boys from the same Mizoram village playing side by side.
