West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell faces 2-year suspension for missing doping tests
WEST INDIAN ALL-ROUNDER Andre Russell is in danger of missing international cricket for two years after the Jamaican has missed three doping tests in a span of 12 months.
As reported by Reuters, the 28-year-old will face a hearing next week and his violation was confirmed by Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission (JADCO) in March.
If Russell gets banned for two years then, several T20 franchises across the world, including Kolkata Knight Riders will miss his services. At the moment, Russell is playing in the Caribbean Premier League for the Jamaica Tallawahs and it appears that he will miss tonight’s game against Guyana.
Russell, who has become a T20 specialist was also a member of the West Indies team that won this year’s World T20 in India.
