CSK fans bring the #SaveCSK petition all the way to Mumbai

IN AN ATTEMPT TO SAVE their team from being eliminated from the IPL, CSK fans successfully organized a huge signature campaign in Chennai. The campaign caught the attention of the local media, and has now been taken a step ahead by loyal fans of the franchise.

Ten of the most dedicated and passionate Super Kings fans from and around Chennai travelled all the way to Mumbai to hand over their petition to the BCCI committee. Leading the entire mission from the front were two young individuals, Kowshik Suriyanarayan – a MS student currently in India on vacation; and Prabhu Damodaran – a devoted fan of the Super Kings.

The duo carried a petition filled with signatures of approximately 13,000 fans collected over a period of just three days. Both Kowshik and Suriyanarayan, along with other local fans in the city and Raj Lodhiya, who initiated the campaign, set off to the Taj’s Land End Hotel in Bandra, where the IPL working committee was scheduled to meet.

After several unsuccessful attempts throughout the day, one of the two guys finally managed to hand over their petition to Rajiv Shukla, chairperson of the Indian Premier League. The online petition has now become quite a rage among the young fans, who are passionate about the players and the team they support in the IPL. The Super fans can only pray and hope for the best.

The #SaveCSK campaign is all over the internet. Check it out!
