Fourth seed Ajay storms into the SF of US Open GPG
THE WINNING RUN of fourth seed Ajay Jayaram cannot be stopped at the moment as he sails into the semi-finals of US Open Grand Prix Gold after defeating compatriot Anand Pawar.

It was a comfortable victory for Ajay against Anand 21-11, 21-11. The whole journey has been a great ride for the 28-year-old. He has shown improvements since the Canada GP and will look to win the title here after coming so close.
He next faces Japanese Kanta Tsuneyama in semis. This will be their first encounter against each other.
Meanwhile, men's doubles and women's doubles duo Manu Attri/Sumeeth Reddy and Meghana/Poorvisha Ram exit the tournament after losing their respective matches. The Canada GP winners Attri/Reddy lost to Japanese pair Takuro Hoki/Yugo Kobayashi 18-21, 21-7, 21-16. The women's pair lost to second seeds Eva Lee/Paula Lynn Obanana 21-15, 21-12.
