Rio bound Attri/Reddy win their first title of the year & second GP at Canada

MEN'S DOUBLES PAIR of Manu Attri /Buss Sumeeth Reddy got a much needed boost before the Olympics as they won the Canada Grand Prix title. This is their first title of the year and second Grand Prix victory.

He expressed his emotions on Facebook

"Won the Yonex Canada Open men doubles title!! Great win before the Olympic Games.. I would like to thank to all my coaches, support staff and everyone out there for always supporting us and guiding us in the right direction!!

Attri/Reddy are the first men's pair to represent India at the Olympics. Top seeded in the tournament had a comfortable outing receiving bye in the first round and later got a walkover into the semis. The final was yet another easy game for the Indian duo, defeated the local pair of Adrian Liu/Toby Ng  21-8, 21-14.

Their maiden Grand Prix title was in Mexico in December last year.
