KBFC retains their star and specialist players Rafi, Ishfaq & Jhingan

KERALA BLASTERS have retained three experienced players who have made an impact on the field and off it. Two senior players 34-year-old Mohammad Rafi and 32-year-old Ishfaq Ahmed are back in the yellow and blue outfit and so is 22-year-old Sandesh Jhingan. 

Rafi was part of Atletico de Kolkata in the first season of ISL and won the trophy there. He was part of KBFC last season and played a total of 9 matches and scored 4 goals. He made a lasting impact on the local fans as he was instant hit with his goals and his hometown fans came in large numbers to show support. In I-League he played for the new team DSK Shivajians  after his ISL stint and now he has returned to take the team to the top.

Ishfaq Ahmed has been there since the beginning for the ISL team and played his role as a mentor and a player. He is working not just on field but also with the head coach and NP Pradeep as player scout. His experience will definitely provide results.

Finally, the young but well experienced Jhingan who has made his presence felt all over the defence and has never let down his fans or team. After his ISL stint he later played for Sporting and recently for DSK. He is back again to prove his worth.
