Not easy to fill Dhoni Bhai’s boots, will try to win matches like him for India: Saha

IT’S BEEN A WHILE since MS Dhoni retired from the longer version of the game, and it is visible that India is struggling on the wicket-keeping department. That said, Wriddhiman Saha has been a regular member of the Test team and the Bengal wicket-keeper batsman has been lucky to have absorbed some vital tricks of the trade from the veteran.

With Dhoni vacating the scene, currently, Saha has been chosen as the next man to don the gloves in Test match cricket and soon, he will be on the plane to the Caribbean to represent India in the four match Test series.

As reported by PTI, the wily keeper said,

"After Dhoni bhai's retirement, filling his place as the wicketkeeper is not an easy task because he has had won many matches for us. He was a dominant character in world cricket. I am trying to do what Dhoni bhai did for us - that is to win matches with contributions coming from his bat as well as by taking catching and effecting stumpings in crucial situations.”

“We always talk to each other on every possible opportunity I and Dhoni get. We talk to each other as we did in IPL and India's Australia tour. He gave me vital tips on how to keep on bouncy tracks and handle pressure while batting. Not only Dhoni, I also talk to other players as well.”
