Uruguayan forward Sasha Aneff set for an ISL stint with NorthEast United FC 

NORTHEAST UNITED FC have acquired Urugayan striker, Sasha Aneff from Swedish side, Syrianska FC ahead of the third edition of the Indian Super League (ISL). 

Aneff started his career playing for an Urugayan club, Defensor Sporting in 2009. He was initially loaned to a first division club Racing Club de Montevideo in 2011 before joining a Bulgarian club, Botev Vratsa on a season-long loan in 2012. However, the young striker remained failed to get off the mark failing to score in a total of 13 games for the three clubs.

In 2013, Aneff signed a new contract with Slovenian PrvaLiga side NK Domzale. After featuring in 32 games and scoring nine goals, he was loaned to a Croatian club NK Osijek for a six-month period. Early this year, the man from Montavideo had signed a contract with Swedish side, Syrianska FC only to see himself join NEUFC for the third edition of ISL.

The 24-year old has also been capped by the Uruguayan Under-20 National team.

Having roped in a series of players, NEUFC’s focus will be to gel as a team before the tournament gets underway.
