DELHI DYNAMOST HAVE secured the services of two talented Mohun Bagan players for the ISL 2016.

Souvik Chakraborty and Kean Lewis, who have turned quite a few heads with their intelligent gameplay, quick adaptability to situations and diverse skill sets as players, have both signed loan deals with the Delhi franchise.

Souvik has been playing top division football since 2009, and is a product of the Mohun Bagan youth system. After spending his academy years and first 3 seasons with the first team with the Mariners, the 24 year old played for Air India and United SC before returning to his old club in 2014. He has been a part of the Bagan squad that won the I-League and Federation Cup over the last 2 seasons. As a player he has been used both in the right back and a central midfield position.

In the previous editions of the ISL, too, Souvik has been a part of Delhi Dynamos. Speaking about him, assistant coach Shakti Chauhan said,

" We are very pleased to continue our association with Souvik. Even at such a young age he is one of the best performing Indian Seniors and an indispensable part of the DDFC squad. We look forward to seeing him shine this season like he did in the previous two."

Kean Lewis, a Tata Football Academy graduate, has been a part of the Houston Dynamos U-23 squad and made his top division debut for Mohun Bagan in the 2015-16 season. He has proven his potential with a good show in CFL, I-League, Federation Cup as well as in the Asian level. He was judged to be the best player in the crucial league encounter between Bengaluru FC and Mohun Bagan at Kanteerava, which the Mariners won 0-2. And in a difficult away game in the AFC Champions League qualifiers against Chinese club Shandong Luneng which Bagan lost 6-0, Lewis was the only player to come close to scoring, hitting the post after a solo run up the right flank. He has been used as an attacker on both wings, and can also play as a central striker if need be. About his maident ISL stint, Kean said,

" I am glad to join the Delhi Dynamos ranks and I would like to thank the club for giving me the opportunity to showcase my skills in ISL 3. I am hoping for a lot of support from the club and the fans."
