Saina & Srikanth enter quarter-finals of Australia SS

SEVENTH SEED SAINA NEHWAL AND KIDAMBI SRIKANTH have earned a place in the quarter-finals of the Australian Superseries after winning their second round matches today in Sydney.

Both the women's and men' singles shuttlers had a comfortable victory over their opponents. Saina defeated Jin Wei Goh of Malaysia 21-12, 21-14. In the quarters, Thai shuttler Intanon awaits her.

The other shuttler in this category Tanvi Lad was ousted by fourth seed Wang Yihan 18-21, 6-21.

Srikanth triumphed over Indonesian Sony Dwi Kuncoro 21-19, 21-12. He will now take on Korean Kwang Hee Heo in quarters.

While Sameer Verma failed to keep the momentum after winning the first game, losing the following two games and the match 21-11, 7-21, 19-21 to Anthony Ginting of Indonesia.
