SanTina breeze through their Roland Garros opener by beating Panova/Kasatkina
TOP SEEDS Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis came through their first round of Roland Garros by beating D Kasatkina/A Panova 7-6(4),6-2 in Paris today.
In the opening set, both pairs looked sluggish and were visibly struggling on their serve. That said, with sheer experience, SanTina squeezed out the set.
In the second set, SanTina broke their opponents thrice and drove home the advantage. In the end, the Indo-Swiss pair had won 79 points in comparison to their opponents’ 65.
