KKR bring in Shaun Tait as a replacement for John Hastings
KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS have roped in Australian pacer Shaun Tait as a replacement for the injured John Hastings. Hastings, who played just two matches for KKR this season, was ruled out of the IPL after he suffered an ankle injury in his left foot.
Tait joined the Kolkata squad on Wednesday and was present at the team’s training session but he did not bowl since he had landed a few hours ago. Having played earlier for Rajasthan Royals, the Aussie seamer is all set for his second stint in the IPL.
During the IPL auction held in February early this year, the Aussie paceman went unsold at a base price of Rs 1.5 crores. The 33-year-old is likely to feature in KKR’s next match against Rising Pune Supergiants on 14th May.
