Jerome Taylor in line to replace injured Lasith Malinga for Mumbai Indians

WINDIES PACEMAN JEROME TAYLOR is set to replace injured Lasith Malinga in Mumbai Indians for the remainder of the IPL. As reported by espncricinfo, the replacement has been approved by the IPL governing council, and Taylor will be eligible for selection pending completion of contractual formalities, the BCCI confirmed through a release.

Malinga was out of action since February this year, keeping him out of action from the WCT20 and the ongoing cash-rich tournament. The Lankan bowler is the highest wicket-taker for the defending champions. His participation in this season was always doubtful before April 17, when he was ruled out.

Taylor has previously featured in the IPL for teams Kings XI Punjab and the now defunct Pune Warriors.
