Dravid is the man for our resurgence, says DD wicket-keeper batsman Sanju Samson

DELHI DAREDEVILS are currently enjoying their three-match winning streak and are sitting reasonably comfortable at the no.3 position on the points table. Having failed to qualify for the playoffs in the past three seasons, the Daredevils are keen on turning the tables.

One of the reasons Delhi have come up with the positive results thus far can be ascribed to the influence and presence of mentor Rahul Dravid. And, the wicket-keeper batsman Sanju Samson had little hesitation in praising the cricketing legend. As reported by PTI, the youngster said,

"Obviously, it's a very young and fresh team. We have lots of youngsters in the team so a mentor like Rahul sir motivates us to perform. It's good to see that we all are doing well under him."

Speaking about his role in the team and his opportunity to play under legendary batsman Dravid, the Kerala cricketer added,

“I have been playing IPL for the last three years and I think I am getting better as a cricketer every year. Mostly I take my learning and experience from Rahul sir. It’s all about learning. It’s all about what your team needs from you.”

Ahead of the match against Gujarat Lions Samson added,

“Every team is tough to play in this tournament. Gujarat has been doing well and we will have to respect them. But nothing changes in the preparation. Planning wise we do talk about our opponents and set clear plans.”
